If you have a question you may find it answered below, in the list of things that we are most often asked. If not please do contact us.
Q. Is counselling and psychotherapy confidential?
A. Unless we think that you may be in danger or at risk or in other very specific circumstances, everything talked about is completely confidential.
Q. How often and for how long would I need to come to counselling and psychotherapy?
A. These are things that can be discussed at the outset or during therapy but it is suggested that at least in the first instance weekly sessions are held and the number of sessions to be held is provisionally agreed. There is no minimum or maximum number of sessions
Q. What happens if I can’t attend a session. Do I still have to pay?
A. There is no problem missing a session. If 24 hours notice is given, there is no charge.
Q. What happens if after a couple of sessions, I don’t think counselling or psychotherapy is for me?
A. There is no need to continue or to pay anything further.
Q. How can I be sure that my counsellor or psychotherapist is to be trusted?
A. Our therapists are members of BACP or UKCP, regularly supervised and have had enhanced DBS checks carried out.
Q. Do you have standard contracts and ways or working?
A. We do. Please have a look at Policies and documentation.
