Life can sometimes be tricky, sometimes it can be difficult and sometimes it can seem impossible for us as adults. Counselling and psychotherapy won’t make our problems and challenges go away but they can help us cope, come to terms with and grow through what is going on for us.
At Interspiral we believe that you are at the centre of counselling and psychotherapy. You determine what you talk about, what you do, the pace at which you work and how many sessions you have. It is your therapist’s job to facilitate this process, to listen, to support, to make suggestions and to keep you safe when things get tough.
The same principles apply in our work with couples but with a focus on enabling both of you to understand one another, see each other’s point(s) of view and find mutually acceptable solutions to relationships difficulties.
Individual sessions last for fifty minutes to one hour and couples sessions last for up to eighty minutes. All sessions are conducted in accordance with the BACP’s Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions and with the UKCP’s ethical principles.
